Hello,

Couple of weeks ago i created a new cloud-hosted 3CX.
Since the first day our customer is having audio issues and i'm out of options..

Some information:
  • Cloud Hosted PBX (Motto VoIP)
  • SIP-ALG is off
  • PBX Delivers Audio is off (Trunk and User level)
  • Using a SBC with 11 phones and 3 wireless sets
  • Phones are up-to-date
  • Audiocodes priority: Settings -> PBX Settings: PCMU -> PCMA -> G729 -> G722 (internal and external)

I've recorded some of the conversations and managed to get a hand on a couple of "dead" calls.
The problems is the audio from caller to hoster.

When i'm listening to the recorded call i can hear our customer, but the caller audio isn't there.

Check that phones are on 3CX supported firmware and templates (use auto-provisioning if possible via SBC)

Firstly, run your Firewall test and ensure every test passes (important)

Then if all is green, turn on PBX Delivers Audio on both trunk/users as a starting point for your troubleshooting.

Then if issues persist, increase logging level to verbose and watch for problematic calls so you can check the details of a specific problematic call.

Are you able to replicate the issue?

Set a wireshark capture on the 3CX and SBC to see where the audio stops.

4. Install tshark on Raspberry PI:
sudo su
apt-get update
apt-get install tshark
mkdir /home/wireshark
  1. Restart the Raspberry by issuing reboot command.
  2. Start capture with:
tshark -i any -b filesize:10240 -w /home/wireshark/mine.pcap

Use WinSCP to recover the wireshark captures once you've made them on the SBC.
