Hi,

I have just installed my 3CX instance and I am encountering an issue. When I try to configure desktop extensions, the welcome email can't be sent to any other address except mine. And when I set the same email address (mine) for a different extension, in order to receive the config file, it doesn't seem to work when I export it to the targeted desktop extension. Can you please explain me how to fix this?

Many thanks

What SMTP server are you using on the 3CX?

did the email addresses existing before you created the extensions?

I am using 3CX SMTP server. My addresses are GSuite accounts. Do you think this may cause the issue? I have tested the Server in the settings and it said everything was fine.

I created the extensions for existing email accounts. I can't seem to understand why only mine can receive the welcome email.

Let me precise that I did no other config after installing 3CX. And the first extension I have set was on the same computer as the server. I don't know if this is useful information.

Thanks

So all of these are existing email addresses and existed before you created the extensions? If the 3CX SMTP server tries to email an address and it bounces, it will not try for 7 days.

Sorry! Do you mean I should wait for 7 days before before trying again?

I can still send as much welcome emails as I want to my account, though.

I'm not sure I can be more clear. If the 3CX SMTP server sends an email and it bounces (for whatever reason) it will not attempt to deliver email for 7 days to that email address. The most common scenario for your issue is that these are new mailboxes and you setup the extensions before creating the mailboxes (or immediately after) and 3CX tried to send a welcome email and it bounced. Your email works and will continue to work because it didn't bounce. The work around is to create an alias or use the + email trick with Gmail and it should deliver fine for those mailboxes that are currently blacklisted. If this isn't the case for you then it could be a spam filter or people not checking junk email or something else.
