Why are recordings limited to 60 days even on self hosted systems?

Client emailed me this morning asking for a recording from February. I went to pull it and noticed we only have recordings back to mid April. We host 3CX on Azure and have no storage limitations. When I went to the logs, I see a message that says "3CX Logs and temporary files were deleted to conserve disk space" and under recordings the max setting is 60 days. Remote Storage is setup but 4/17 is the oldest call available. Unable to edit 60 but would like it to be 365 days for local recordings and we archive anything older to Remote Storage.

Why would 3CX be worried about conserving disk space if they are not hosting it?

Based on the screenshots you have provided, the message '3CX logs and temporary files were deleted to conserve disk space' does not seem related to the call recording retention settings.

We can see that the 'Delete temporary recordings older than 60 days' option is currently disabled, so the recordings should not have been removed by this feature. This also makes sense, since when a remote archive location is enabled, the auto-delete option cannot be enabled.

- Are the recordings older than April available in the configured remote storage location?
- Are recordings no longer visible within Admin > Recordings?
- Are the recording files also missing from the remote storage?
- Has the remote storage configuration been modified recently, or have there been any synchronization issues?
