Will Moving VMs to a New Datacenter Affect the 3CX License If MAC Addresses Are Retained?

Hello,

A customer will move VMs to a new datacenter.
VM will keep the same MAC address.
In this cas, moving the 3CX will not affect the license?

The licence is bound to your fqdn not the mac address.

Not at all... The mac address doesnt matter... You need to configure your firewall correct thats it.

Hi.,

This should not be an issue, if the mac address has not changed then changing it the one time over to a new VM should not cause an issue.

We recently migrated all our VMs to our new cluster, though used the same IP. We kept the MAC and had no problems. Just had to change the network interface name in /etc/network/interfaces.
