I am preparing a 3CX hosted migration from VMware and converting to Hyper-V. I saw this article about the static MAC address: https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-microsoft-hyper-v/.
My question is, as a just in case this does not work and I need to get system back online asap, will my v20 license still activate if I MAC is switched back to how it was, Dynamic? Our 3CX instance has been on the same VM for quite a few years now, no other activations other than yearly renewal. I read mentioned a few times if you have activated on multiple machines you could run into it not activating and needing to contact sales, which to avoid downtime I would like to not have to do. Do you think static will be just fine, but if not, will I have any issue activating?
My plan is: Save current physical address, convert VM to Hyper-V, before booting change physical address (from link above), boot VM
Thank you in advance.
