Hi,

I have provisioned a new Yealink phone and 3CX says it is not supported. Do I need to downgrade the Firmware to a supported version? The phone is working fine by the way:

Yealink SIP-T53W95.84.0.9595.84.0.35Yealink T53W FW: Maintenance release

Cheers,
Max

Need to? If you want to be on a supported version, yes. If you don't care and things are working, no

I always use the firmware that is specified and would recommend you do as well. Another big reason why is that if you have a support package you may not be able to get support if you are not running the advised firmware. Info about that can be found here. But if it is working well then I suppose you don't have to.

Hi @maxrobz

Please use the version that your PBX recommends, even if it appears as a downgrade.

That is the version that the vendor and 3CX have tested for compatibility with your system.
