I have customer has 10 ip phone Models yealink T58A ,T48S and T21 and phone cant provision with 3cx as Auto provision but only can Configure them Manually .In first time customer has 3cx IPBX in Vlan and ip phones on another Vlan and 3cx cant see all ip phones even there were reachability between all vlans but after that we put 3cx and ip phones on same vlans So ip phones appear on 3cx web console management under phone tab but when we try to assign extension to ip phone no thing happen and ip phone still not registered and no service .for your information ip phone is on latest firmware

Check that your switches are not doing anything with multicasting

Actually there is no issue on switches and now i put the pbx and all phones on same lan network and they are already seen by the pbx but when i assign extension to any ip phone there is no response and still phone not configured and no service

There is a process to this...you should put the MAC address of the phone and the template into the extension first. Then make sure you factory reset phone, press and hold Ok button for a few seconds and confirm the factory reset. If you don't have a 3rd party certificate, this can sometimes cause this not to work. Log into yealink web management, security, trusted certificates, and disable Only accept trusted certificates. Not sure if you are using the same switch brand, but I have seen a lot of issues with this if the server and the phones aren't on the same vlan.

Since you are in an environment with VLANs, things can get difficult.

You need to be in a position to monitor setup the VLANs correctly on the network elements, and also be prepared to run captures and see what what traffic is sent by each side, and if it reaches the NIC of the other side.

It's no simple task and if you are not familiar with this type of troubleshooting it may be easier to use a simple network subnet and keep the phones and PBX in the same range of each other.

But he was configuring all ip phones manually and it was working fine , Suddenly he found this issue also all ip phones appear in 3cx that its registered with pbx so what do you think??

It's difficult to know. The only thing I can suggest is to analyze the traffic on the network using wireshark and see if the registrations reach the PBX, and if the UDP traffic reaches the PBX from the phones.

The same will have to be done on the phones to see if the traffic from the PBX is reaching them.

That behavior is normal to see the phones in 3cx, but having first time provisioning issues on separate vlans. Its either a multicasting issues between vlans or you have different switch brands from the core to the phones. Depending on how your core server and network are setup up, you can also try to move the test phone you are working with to an area in the core that has the least amount of hops to the server. That will help you figure out what switch or other appliance many be causing the issue. 3CX recommends the phones and server be on the same vlan anyway, but it doesn't mean you can't do separate vlans. If you can provide a network diagram, your switch brands, etc., I may be able to assist with the configuration and setup.

Dear
I set 3cx server and yealink ip phones on same network but 3cx can see all ip phones on web managment console but on same time when we try to assign extension to any ip phone no thing is happing and ip phone still no service and not registered So kindly advise.

Clear the list of phones using the Reject button, then factory reset a phone and wait for it to appear in the list again.

Log in to the phone, and start a packet capture

Also start a packet capture on the PBX

Now assign the phone via your management console and wait a minute or so before you stop both captures. Here is what you expect to see

- You should see in the PBX capture, the PBX IP sending a NOTIFY message to the phone IP that contains the provisioning URL
- You should see in the phone capture now, the above NOTIFY arriving
- You should also see in the phone an HTTP GET attempt to go and download its provisioning file

This is what I meant you should be doing in my previous message.

Get the MAC address for a phone you are trying to assign. Do a factory reset on your phone (Press and hold Ok button on phone for about 5 seconds). As its rebooting, go into the 3cx console and click on an extension. Go to Phone Provisioning Tab. Click Add. Select your brand or phone template and type in the MAC address. When the phone reboots it should provision itself. If it doesn't, log into the GUI of the phone and add the provisioning link. Setting, Auto Provisioning, Server URL. Paste the provisioning link there and click Auto Provision Now. Let me know if that works or not.
