Yealink phones and option 66

I set up a DHCP server and have been testing option 66 to send the provisioning server url to the phone. The only way I can get this to work is if I go into the gui of the yealink phone and disable only accept trusted certificates. This kind of defeats the purpose of option 66 if I still have to go in first and turn this setting off. Am I missing something? Does anyone have some suggestions?

what firmware of yealink and what phone specifically?

I am on 28.71.0.224 which is the recommended version... they must have added some certificate bs thinking it would be more secure - but if your server is not running https with a valid cert then you are hosed.

so on your version, trusted certificates is disables in default? I will try will just http and see what happens.
