Yealink Released new Firmware - When can we expect it in 3CX?
http://support.yealink.com/documentFront/forwardToDocumentDetailPage?documentId=206
Seeing firmware released for:
W60B
W56H
W53H
W56P
W52P
T58A
Optimized the feature of BLF key LED/icon and Behavior for DND state that you can
configure the BLF key LED to glow yellow.

CP960 - Audio is now at full duplex. UI is updated.

And more but thats just the devices I have.

T58A got a lot of usful feature updates: See http://support.yealink.com/previewPdf?file=http://support.yealink.com/forward2download?path=ZIjHOJbWuW/DFrGTLnGypjZRKhDplusSymbolXJQ46S0y0EImxt6uWE9rrbclnNxuxZSzFz1axs15//Bb2opM9JplusSymbolyohTBrqGD7GnUQ4e/3wLETPkplusSymbol/XPToQKAch03UMRhTQVyEUfmSUkeQpOJJe/ERgnmPUVyKB6FDMMmTwaQ5kWdldUx6KkDcUeWYBqtQw==

The big one is it adds support for 5ghz wifi. also they updated the BLF and DND keys, im nterested ot see how.

They also added some things I had to do with custom firmware stuff, like disable t58A camera when no camera was attached. Also their auto audio improvements for the CP960 I forgot to list. It also has the new firmware.

Yealink will have to make sure it passes 3CX tests. Then submit to 3CX, who will run the tests and certify it and release it.

It can take a few months.

Where can we find the release notes for these firmware updates? I recently upgraded the Yealink T46s phones to 66.84.0.95 (not the same numbering as the Yealink site) and I looked at Yealink site for their release notes, but when I upgraded now the phone color codes the Send and Answer keys but I did not see that anywhere in the release notes. So does this mean the release notes are not complete, 3CX adds other functionality to their build or is something else going on? Typically we would read the release notes before doing an upgrade so we are aware of any cosmetic changes, bug fixes or functionality changes.
So far the upgrade process feels like a "trust us" and hope for the best situation, heaps of testing after the fact to see if anything has improved or is just the same. I'm hopeful the situation is better than this and I have just missed something about how to access the release notes.

The firmware 3CX uses is made specifically for 3CX by Yealink. It would be nice to have a changelog but I don't think that's happening anytime sooner. There is testing by Yealink and 3CX for the 3CX versions. And 3CX firmware are no more or less 'trust us' than anyone elses. I've seen change logs that were incomplete or just plan wrong, so the lack of a change log doesn't imply anything. If you have a specific bug then you should be able to test if that is resolved in the firmware. If you are looking for a specific feature then you should be able to check if it's in the firmware. Or are you saying that if 3CX changelog said xyz was fixed or added you would just roll it out to hundreds of extensions blindly? Trust but verify.
