I just received a bunch of new Yealink SIP-T58W Pro phones for a new customer installation. When attempting to install these on a V20 hosted system, the phones received their configurations, but would not register with 3CX. The result was a "No Service" indication on the phones and the phones never appeared in the 3CX console.
I suspected that it might be a firmware issue and so decided to upgrade the firmware manually - through the phone's web GUI - to the 3CX supported version T58W-150.87.0.15. The phones could not be upgraded through the 3CX console since they failed to register and so did not even appear in the 3CX console. The phone's web GUI upgrade failed with an "Invalid Firmware" error message. I researched this a little further on Yealink's support portal and found there was one version of firmware that supported an upgrade from any 150.86 version to any 150.87 version: that's version T58W-150.86.0.39.
The phones shipped with firmware version T58W-150.86.0.50 - a later version than the one required for the upgrade between 150.86.X and 150.87.X versions. I decided to downgrade the phone firmware to the T58W-150.86.0.39 and try again from there.
After the downgrade to T58W-150.86.0.39, I then successfully upgraded to the 3CX-supported firmware version T58W-150.87.0.15 and the phones then registered without further problem.
The morale of this story is that Yealink enabled firmware version T58W-150.86.0.39 to be upgradeable to T58W-150.87.X.X versions. But later versions do not appear to be upgradeable (go figure...). If you run into similar problems, downgrade to T58W-150.86.0.39 first and then upgrade to the 3CX-supported firmware.
Now I have a bunch more phones to downgrade and then upgrade. I hope this saves someone else some heartburn...
