Hello, Where can I download latest working SBC firmware for Yealink T54W phones? The firmware I had on file doesnt seem to be working with the latest phones.
When trying to download the firware that had worked last month on T54W desk sets, I get a "device invalid" error message"

I have the follwoing firmware files and have tried each of them
T5XW-96.86.0.77.rom
Yealink T54W SBC firmware T5XS-70.84.0.80.rom ( I had renamed the 2nd file to be sure which one was needed)

I ifinally found the latest firmware that had in my downloads folder.
it is T5XW-96.86.0.77. Im lucky i alrady had it donwloaded becasue I dont seem to find a reference anywhere in the how-to sections or firmware upgades info on 3cx anymore. Did 3CX take it down?

1.Always start here https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

2. Read the guide for your phone, and it will have reset and upgrade instructions linked

..and of course the upgrade instructions have a link to firmware page, you can't miss it:

Tips:
  • If the guide says a model is a router, then get the latest 3CX firmware installed and you can then be sure the SBC / router mode is included - no guessing.

  • If your phone (any brand not just Yealink) has firmware that is very old, the manufacturer will prevent it from upgrading to avoid unexpectedly bricking the device. In this case, you need to contact the manufacturer or go through their knowledge base, get the required versions you missed, and upgrade step by step until you reach a ver. close enough to install the 3CX version. This part is out of our scope, and falls within the manufacturer's support scope.

By the way did you know? 3CX V20 U8 now has a feature to automatically upgrade your phone during provisioning :)
This is designed mainly for brand new phones that are provisioned for the first time out of the box, and assumes that the firmware on them is not too old. Give it a try if you get any new Yealink T7 / T8 series phones!

Thanks. I had previously htought that the SBC firmware for yealink was a specailty one that only was provided by 3CX and the ones on the yealink website was a gnereal release for all SIP providers. Thanks for the clarification. Issue is resolved.
