Hello Everyone,

I have a setup with a weird issue & was wondering if anyone had encountered something similar.

I have a system with two Yealink T56A phones running firmware v58.86.0.20 that will randomly drop the call & reboot when attempting to transfer a call.
They are the only phones on the system having the problem & it doesn't seem to matter where the calls are being transferred to.

The transfer attempt is not logged in 3cx at all.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Josh

How are they powered?

Hi Josh

@cobaltit may be on to something here, if the devices are not adequately powered, they may result in reboots.

When there is insufficient power, devices usually freeze up, or reboot (typical of most embedded devices).

If power starvation has been eliminated, then you might have some other issue on your hands that may need contacting Yealink's support to answer.

I have tested my T56A here, and it does not produce this error during a transfer. Then again I do have it connected directly to a strong PoE switch with a short cable so it has access to an adequate supply of power.

They are powered by PoE connected to a Unifi US-48-500W switch, which is reporting them using around 3.5W each.

We are not seeing reboots any other time, only at the exact point of trying to transfer a call & only a couple of calls a day, but they are on a busy reception desk so it's rather disruptive.
