Yealink W52P different registration methods

Dear friends.

Please can someone explain the difference between registering a W52P phone (or any DECT phone) via the PHONES tab and the ADVANCED / FXS/DECT tab.

Is there an advantage of registering one against the other, or are there any implications of you choose one over the other.

I have never used the FXS/DECT tab and am struggling to see the difference between the two ways of registering.

You have to register the base unit via FXS / Dect tab, if you want to be supported.

It's not a matter of choice, the only available way is via the FXS / DECT page as per our guide.

If you try to do it from the phones tab, you will notice that it is not possible
