You have exceeded the permitted number of extensions!

We are currently using 3CX to conduct polling for seniors, as some of them do not have access to a computer. Several extensions are dedicated to allowing seniors to leave voicemail messages as part of the polling process.

We also use extensions associated with shared email accounts so that callers can leave messages in a shared mailbox. This setup is necessary because ring groups do not support email functionality, and must transfer to an extension for voicemail to email.

As a non-profit organization serving seniors in our community, we are looking for a cost-effective solution. Is there a way to increase the number of available extensions without upgrading our 3CX license?

you are probably just not using the system efficiently. you might be able to move some (or all) of this inbound call flow over to "call flow designer" which you can specify options for leaving messages and delivering them to email addresses without tying up numerous extensions on the system.

another option that doesn't require learning the call flow designer would be to deliver the voicemail to the ring group (it's under notifications on the ring group settings) and you can specify a list of emails to receive the voicemail message as an attachment.

To send it to the voicemail box of the ring group, you must specify this so in your destination no answer of your ring group (if this wasnt obvious to you already).
