How does one get access to post to the ideas area of this forum. I have been running 3cx for over 2 years and love it. We are rolling it out to our remaining 3 facilities in the next few weeks, and really wish we could have a voice to push some ideas to the front of the list.
ideas like:
-Add Titles to user accounts, as once you get bigger then a few departments and people, you need to know who you are talking to HR director, or HR support, IT Directory, or IT help desk. Etc. This should show in all clients as an option in your view.
-Allow visibility of Ring Groups, and Queues to be placed in Groups. We have the CSR department group with all the users, by location. But we have a queue for the CSR department or (ring group), that users would prefer to call into vs individuals. Meaning have the department decide how the calls should come in vs the user calling Tim instead of Sally because he is faster. Right now we have to setup a phantom *unregistered* extension, and forward to the queue or ring group to get the same effect.
-Allow a global or per group setting to "show unregistered extensions" for web, windows, phone, and mobile clients. This is due to above work around. Having to do this on each individual machine is really painful. I have over 140 extensions now. Multiple clients per depending on user as well.
- Add export to excel, even if just for reporting on most of the major maintenance windows, Phones, ring groups, queues, etc. This would help with dial plan setup. Again for reporting at a minimum, but allowing import would be ideal.
-Clone ring group, queue, and beef up the extension clone to be more dynamic would be super helpful. Would have saved me countless hours last night.
-Set defaults for "new" ring group, queue, extension, etc. For each of the "phantom" extensions I created above (over 50 for each location and department), I had to 4 times click to change to forward to extension, then pick the queue/ring group each and every time. A default, or the "clone" above would have made a lot more sense for this effort.
-Allow drag and drop in the webclient for calls from queues to people in the office like the windows client. The windows client is clunky and we like the look feel of the web and would prefer to not even use the windows client at this point for reception functions.
Those are a few I would like to suggest after doing my second implementation, these issues are all present from two years ago still to today.
