How does one get access to post to the ideas area of this forum. I have been running 3cx for over 2 years and love it. We are rolling it out to our remaining 3 facilities in the next few weeks, and really wish we could have a voice to push some ideas to the front of the list.

ideas like:
-Add Titles to user accounts, as once you get bigger then a few departments and people, you need to know who you are talking to HR director, or HR support, IT Directory, or IT help desk. Etc. This should show in all clients as an option in your view.

-Allow visibility of Ring Groups, and Queues to be placed in Groups. We have the CSR department group with all the users, by location. But we have a queue for the CSR department or (ring group), that users would prefer to call into vs individuals. Meaning have the department decide how the calls should come in vs the user calling Tim instead of Sally because he is faster. Right now we have to setup a phantom *unregistered* extension, and forward to the queue or ring group to get the same effect.

-Allow a global or per group setting to "show unregistered extensions" for web, windows, phone, and mobile clients. This is due to above work around. Having to do this on each individual machine is really painful. I have over 140 extensions now. Multiple clients per depending on user as well.

- Add export to excel, even if just for reporting on most of the major maintenance windows, Phones, ring groups, queues, etc. This would help with dial plan setup. Again for reporting at a minimum, but allowing import would be ideal.

-Clone ring group, queue, and beef up the extension clone to be more dynamic would be super helpful. Would have saved me countless hours last night.

-Set defaults for "new" ring group, queue, extension, etc. For each of the "phantom" extensions I created above (over 50 for each location and department), I had to 4 times click to change to forward to extension, then pick the queue/ring group each and every time. A default, or the "clone" above would have made a lot more sense for this effort.

-Allow drag and drop in the webclient for calls from queues to people in the office like the windows client. The windows client is clunky and we like the look feel of the web and would prefer to not even use the windows client at this point for reception functions.

Those are a few I would like to suggest after doing my second implementation, these issues are all present from two years ago still to today.

Thanks,

The ideas section has been restricted for about 18 months:

https://www.3cx.com/blog/news/exclusive-voip-forum/

Basically trying to eliminate some of the 'noise' from folks who really aren't that familiar with 3CX or phone systems in general.

Some of your ideas are already present in the ideas section so I would search and vote up/comment on them. If you have a net new idea, you can ask a partner to post a feature request on your behalf.

I Agree, i'm so sorry it is like that, surely my French blood is boiling. This kind of subject is giving me stress each time it comes up to surface.
It's always those allowed who delivers so nice reasons and advices , on WHY NOT THEM, to those who are not

Everyone opinion matters
I don't disagree, and I don't see 3CX disagreeing. Anyone can create an account on the forums and post, thus express their opinion. But do some opinions matter more than others? Absolutely. For 3CX, the opinions of partners that bring in thousands of dollars in revenue matter more than the person using the free version of 3CX at home because the $5/month OOMA is too expensive. And it was typically those same people that would put in a feature request which was already there, thus diluting the votes and otherwise making it a mess. There are avenues for others such as @Trent Greenawalt who have actual implementation experience and put some thought into the requests to get those elevated via partner. But at the end of the day, you get what you pay for so if you are using the free version, you get free support/input. This again is not unique to 3CX. I think pretty much every product we use or have used in a the past (at least on the MSP side) required you to actually have an active license or contract to even get into the forums, much less be able to submit feature requests.

Interesting as that doesn't make any sense to not allow feature requests and feedback from the admins of these systems. Well if any partners like some of my suggestions, please enter them in the ideas area for me. I voted up the titles add to users one I found. Most of the others aren't on there unfortunately.

I thought of another:
Default to the search / extension box when entering in any of windows. It would be nice to start typing on first click vs having to click into the box each time to search, or add a new extension. Right now it doesn't appear to go anywhere.

I didn't see the comment above. We are an enterprise 64 line customer and have been for close to 2 years (Recently moved to 64, we were on 32). I feel that warrants the right to provide feedback to the developers, shouldn't it. I hear you on the free version, and what not, but we are a multiple thousand dollar a year paying customer that can't suggest enhancements? I am also a developer, so I know how easy some of the things are to implement, and none of my requests are huge time investments. I know it isn't your call, but very frustrating to not have a forum????, in a forum.

Cobaltit, the subject is stressful isn't it. Your long, well-argued answer shows it. I think the Dollars brought back to 3cx have nothing to do with the value of ideas posted by either side. Who can pretend he's better or has ideas that others could not have. Regarding the management of the forum 18 months after the access restriction there are still many duplicates, triplets and more which divide the votes. Who's now messy forum producer?
