How to factory reset a Polycom SoundStation series

Factory Reset your Polycom SoundStation phone

Applicable to Polycom SoundStation 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000

Follow the steps below to factory reset your Polycom SoundStation device in order to bring back the factory default settings. This must be done before provisioning your Polycom SoundStation phone in case the device has residual settings of a previous configuration.

Factory Reset your Polycom SoundStation phone

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. On the “Loading Application” screen press “Cancel.”

  1. As soon as the “Welcome” message appears, press and hold down
  • “1,” “3,” “5,” “7” (for SoundStation 5000 and 7000)
  • “6,” “8,” “*” (for SoundStation 4000 and 6000)
  1. Release them only when seeing the “Enter Password” message appear.

  1. For password use the phone’s MAC address (using CAPS for letter) and press “OK.”
  2. After the restart your phone will be successfully reset (with default password “4, 5, 6”).
