Helping create a more secure and risk-free web.

3CX is once again sponsoring Let’s Encrypt, a non-profit Certificate Authority providing digital security certificates to 360 million websites globally.

Security has always been a top priority for 3CX, and our long-lasting cooperation with Let’s Encrypt is testimony to that. 3CX has been working with Let’s Encrypt since 2016 to adopt HTTPS certificates in its deployments, in an effort to protect our customers’ data and privacy.

Why Let’s Encrypt & 3CX?

The goal behind our cooperation is to ensure our customers can use 3CX safely by offering them SSL certificates - issued and configured automatically and at no cost - ultimately contributing to a more secure and risk-free internet.

About Let’s Encrypt

Let’s Encrypt is a Certificate Authority issuing trusted security certificates to individuals and entities who need to enable HTTPS (SSL/TLS) for their websites - free of charge. Since its inception in 2015, Let’s Encrypt has issued around 4 billion certificates with the support of sponsors like 3CX and other major brands such as Google, AWS and Zendesk.

Certificates are super easy to obtain and configure, and renewal is done automatically. The automatic issuance and renewal protocol is published as an open standard - this means anyone with a domain name can make use of this service.

Let’s Encrypt is a service brought to you by Internet Security Research Group (ISRG), a non-profit organization celebrating its 10 year anniversary.

ISRG’s mission is “to reduce financial, technological and educational barriers to secure communication over the Internet”. Learn more about ISRG’s work in their 2023 Annual Report.
