We are seeing a really strange issue since pushing out the 2.12.25.6 firmware update. Basically, calls from queue's don't seem to have a ringtone.

If we call an extension direct (both via internal extension, or via a DID) it rings fine.

Queue calls show up on screen, and the users can answer them - but the ringtone does not sound.

We are seeing it across multiple servers and different sites/networks. I have factory reset, reprovisioned phones etc, but no change.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Hello MattJames,

Did you try to use the queue ringtone ?

If you try tweaking here:

...in the IP Phone tab of a user, does it help?

Hi Matt,

It looks like specifically Ring 6 has a problem on that model. We have informed Fanvil about it, but in the meantime you can simply change it to any one of the other ringtones and press save on your extension.

FYI we are also seeing some other issues since upgrading to this firmware. Getting complaints about transfers failing and occasionally a message about media negotiation failed. I've checked the codecs for the trunk and the system and it's set for PCMU all the way through so not sure what that one is about.

Hi John,

That does seem to have solved the issue.

Thanks

We haven't had complaints about these yet - but I will keep an eye out for them

I have also seen the transfer and some quirky ringing issues since the update. I had one site notify me yesterday and said when they called between extensions the phone would show the incoming call but not ring. Sure enough, I stopped onsite and verified. This particular site has all the X5U-V2's running behind an SBC. The only way to get them working again was to factory reset each phone and re-register to the system. They were working fine at this site before I pushed out the 2.12.25.6 upgrade because they weren't running as router phones like many of my other sites are. I just updated them Tuesday evening because I wanted to get everyone updated. My router phone sites began to experience the 2.12.20 firmware issues after the V20 update 8 was pushed out in the middle of Feb.
I'm getting mixed feedback on the default ringtone change with the new firmware also. While I wish it would've stayed the same, I'm just happy the router phone issue appears to be resolved. Before 2.12.25.6 was released on Tuesday, I was physically going around to all of my sites and throwing in SBC's I had on hand or Yealink router phones for the Fanvils to register to in normal mode. That worked for me until Fanvil sent me a 2.12.25.5 release to use about 2 weeks into the mess which resolved the issue until 3CX received the final 2.12.25.6 this week. It's been a rough nearly 4 week stretch since this all started. Hoping there aren't too many other little quirks with the new firmware and that they can get the ones that have shown up resolved quickly.
From the beginning of when I saw the delay/lag issue start for my customer sites on Feb 15th, it took me a good week to get a handle on it possibly being related to the phone firmware, but I was pretty satisfied with Fanvils response and assistance on working toward a fix.

The firmware has now been updated and it contains a fixed Ring 6 (which is the default for queues)

Thanks for the update. Any idea if this fixes the issue with Hold/Transfer being broken when SRTP is enabled? Not in the office today so haven't had a chance to test it.

Hi,

This update in particular only addresses the Ringtone 6 issue.

As we discussed in the other thread previously, the SRTP issue you described could be due to settings mismatch rather than the phone failing.
