Hello

I've enabled SRTP for the SIP Trunk in 3cx and secure trunking in Twilio. Calls can be made and received but only last 32 seconds. Non Secure SIP call work without problem.

Can I just confirm that Twilio Secure SIP will work with 3cx, or because TLS is not support they will not work as per the Provider Capabilities

Provider Capabilities
Below is a short overview of the provider's capabilities and services and whether they’re supported or not:
  1. CLNS (Clip No Screening): Yes
  2. Catch All Routing: Yes, static SI per trunk
  3. Fax in T38: No
  4. CLIR (Number Suppression): Yes
  5. DTMF via RFC 2833: Yes
  6. Codec Order: G711U
  7. NAT Support: Yes
  8. Other:Static Public IP required, TLS is not supported

Hi,
you are most surely right, if TLS is not supported on provider side Secure SIP will no work

Thanks for the quick response,

Would you know of any other providers which would allow for the SIP trunk to be encrypted and to work with 3cx

3cx supports secure SIP between the extension and PBX, if enabled on the extension,

Trunk-wise, only SRTP for the audio stream is available

If you are looking to secure or isolate the SIP transport, you might have to use a different solution like for example some providers that use their own private network and modem that is isolated from the internet

Thanks John, that what I though would be the case
