3cx extension works fine on any windows PC with the 3cx extension installed. However when using the same Google account on my Samsung 303c (older chromebook) the extension is unable to connect to the webclient/browser even after getting all the correct prompts such as linking to extension and allowing microphone. I would suggest that perhaps my chromebook is the problem as it is quite old now, although is running the latest updates. See the screenshot for the error.

Has anyone managed to get the webclient/3cx extension to work on a Chromebook at all, even if it a newer Chromebook device - this would be helpful to know?

Thank you

M

Hi Manoli

We tested the extension and works on Chrome OS based devices, but I do not have access to that model to confirm whether it works there.

The last device I tested was chrome OS V84 but it was a fairly recent chrome box

Good to know John, I appreciate that. Time to take the leap of faith and buy a newer test device.

fyi my 303c is running ChromeOS 75.0.3.3770.144, which shows as "up to date".

Ah, that appears to quite old now as Chrome it at 84.0.4147.127 currently

We build and test the software around the latest version of Chrome so most likely the code is no longer compatible.

I was able to get my hands on a Acer cb5-312 and worked perfectly... Good one and thanks for you input
