3CX Client to open phone numbers from web pages.

Hello.

Background:
We have several 3CX servers on separate sites in our production environment. All of those except 1 are V15.5 PRO the one that is different is a V15.5 Standard Annual version.

The Question:
Alright,sooo the question is - in all of our sites with PRO version client PC's (Win 7/10 machines with 3CX Phone client installed) can call phone numbers in web-pages just by clicking on the phone numbers. But client PC's can't do this on the site with Standard Annual 3CX version (i click the number and nothing happens - tried this with and without click2call plugin).

I did some digging around and found out that there is a feature in the PRO version called - Ability to Use 3CX Clients API. And that feature is responsible for opening phone numbers with a simple mouse click.

The only way to do so in Standard Annual version is to enable a hotkey to copy highlighted number to 3CX client.

Just wanted to receive a confirmation about the info i found. Please, correct me if i am wrong.

Hello,

You can also use the "3cx Click to Call" extension in Google Chrome or Firefox. You get it for Chrome from the Google Chrome Store.

I wrote about that plugin already when i asked my question.

Lets make my question shorter. Do i need 3CX PRO version to use 3cx click to call/use TEL protocol in windows/ use 3CX Client API like CallTriggerCmd plugin ?

No, you don´t need PRO or ENT version. It also works finde with standart.
