Hello all.

We have an issue which we are only seeing on MAC users running Google Chrome and the 3CX web extension for click to call. The extension correctly underlines telephone numbers on web pages. The user is able to click on the telephone number and it is loaded correctly into the 3CX webphone. The call then immediately goes to playing hold music rather than a ringtone. The called party never receives the call.

If the user manually types or pastes the number into the webphone the call works fine.

This is using the 3CX hosted phone system on Professional licence level

So far we have -

Removed and reinstalled the 3CX extension.
ClosedGoogle Chrome
Ensured Google Chrome is fully updated

Any suggestions?

I have to say that is really strange, the fact that you actually hear music on hold must mean a call was was in fact made somewhere because that audio has to be sent by the PBX.

Is this something you can reproduce on any Mac device or is it only affecting some?

Try the this:
• In the Management Console go to Dashboard >> Activity Log >> Settings >> Enable Verbose
• Then, reproduce the issue.
• Go into "Dashboard >> Activity Log" again, and take a look at the call to hopefully determine what happened with it and where it went.

Note: You can use the "Filter" button for options to filter what call you are looking at.

First off, please do provide the information mentioned here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/information-to-provide-when-requesting-help.67558/
