3CX Flowroute some callee's get wrong caller id

for most callee's the caller id shows what is listed on flowroute cnam lookup

but for some callee's the caller id shows the users extension name like "Steve NN" for example

why is this happening?

I have two cloud hosted ones doing this...

Show's up where? And callee from which perspective? But the most likely answer is that 3CX is pushing out the extension info, and for on-net destinations that is passed through but for off-net destinations they are seeing the main account TN.

I second that, and a trunk capture should reveal exactly what is being sent out.

Also if you check your Flowroute trunk under Outbound parameters you will see a field called From: Display name which controls the display name you will see in your capture when making an outbound call.

What the provider does AFTER they receive it from you is really up to them, so you can ask whether you are allowed to change that and adjust it to show what you want (or match the same value as their CNAM shows to be more consistent)
