I was under the impression that the software was free under 10 users.
Now after I've spends countless hours configuring it it says that it'll we be deactivated march 15 and I need to buy a license?
This really sounds like a scam.
Why are you advertising that is completely free and now after I'v invested all this time I need to pay?
Could you give me one good reason to pay after your deceiving tactics?

Hi Angelo, just for clarity - there are a few versions of the product.
There is an entirely free version, and it sounds like you maybe want the one - hosted by 3cx, with some feature limitations, but is free forever / and supports 10 ext (or fewer) and so long as your SIP trunk is with a supported provider.
The "free trial for time limited period" version differs by design in that - it gives you more features, flexible options, intent is for a bigger deployment 'try before you buy'
So, assuming you have a config you are happy with, and you have 10 EXT or fewer, most likely you can simply
- proceed to sign up a new-from-scratch free-forever small business 3cx instance that is hosted by 3cx. You are basically getting a slice on their 'shared 3cx server'. The price is right (free) and you get by design a certain scope of features
- with your expertise learned on getting your other instance setup and working, it should be very easy to configure the new free instance
- then you can go forward from there, let the 'original free trial but not free forever' version expire and go away. You can keep using the free forever version.
- and if you need a bigger PBX down the road, you may possibly be happy to pay for the non-free version of the product, which has more features and supports more users, more concurrent calls, etc.
given that the free-forever smb 10-ext-or-less version has a lot of functionality, ie, a very nice modern smartphone app / browser app / etc. - then possibly it will do what you need-want and this is a good outcome.
