We have moved to google cloud on another instance and I need to turn off the old free hosted pbx with 3cx. The fdqn keeps getting taken over. How do I go about this?

I did message @JohnS_3CX as suggested in another thread. It would be fantastic if this was an automated feature sometime in the future. At this moment I am hoping it can be resolved before tomorrow during business hours as it would cause major issues.

The only thing I can say is if you can still access the old management console you can try stopping the services and then restart the new one. This should stop it from taking over until it can get shutdown

I was able to stop all services except for nginx and db services, but they restarted automatically within 2 hours and took over the fqdn again. I had to disable again, restart the new pbx and do a dns flush.

Hi @simplyhandled

unfortunately, you are fighting against your instance manager which ensures that all services are running.
A member of Team 3CX will be in touch with you shortly to retire the free hosted instance.
