3CX on 4G Huawai Router NAT problems

I have been using 3CX for many years (Paid). It has worked very well over the years and through the various versions. I have recently decided to trial a new HUAWAI 4G modem/router using an o2 German sim with unlimited data.

All works well (NETFLIX EMAILS WEB PAGES etc)

However, 3CX now fails the firewall test with an indication that o2 does some NAT translation before the packets arrive at the 4G modem/router.

Does anyone know if it is possible to host a 3CX windows box behind a 4G router? If so can you point me in the right direction for setting it up.

The fact that it's Windows is irrelevant. No OS is going to change the likely CGNAT they are implementing. That being said, you'd have to define host. Technically you are already doing that, the firewall checker just isn't passing. A registration-based trunk might work in that scenario, with no remote extensions. You'd have to define what you want to accomplish.

As above mobile companies use cgnat on their networks

You need a mobile SIM card with a fixed ip address

What you are asking for is a practical impossibility (mostly due to CGNAT & no static IP)

You would be better off deploying 3CX in the Cloud, then installing an SBC at the site behind the 4G router.

There's a good chance this will work, but you will have to test it on the specific 4G carrier.

Thank you for your comments. I did suspect this would be the case. Just hoping someone had some strange solution that would enable me to keep my 3cx box local.
