3cx on Amazon Lightsail - SBC or Direct Sip (Stun Remote)?

Hi,
I will be setting up 3cx on Amazon Lightsail with about 8 Yealink T46U endpoints at a remote office location. Is it ok to use Direct Sip (Stun Remote) for all the Yealinks, or is it recommended for that many users to use a Session Border Controller (perhaps on Raspberry Pi 3/4) at the remote location? I want to ensure the best possible call quality experience/performance. Thanks!

Hi,

For a long list of reasons, always choose SBC when you have the ability to do so. We created it so you will not be forced to use STUN on remote phones.

Actually STUN can indeed work, but you might have to jump through too many hoops to make it worth your while.

@millennium2 If you can buy one T5 series and use v18 update 6 you can have one phone function as an SBC.

Good to know...may be cheaper than getting a Pi, which are over priced now! haha! Definitely looking into this.
