I upgraded a customer from V18 to V20. They have 3 Gigaset N510 DECT cells. The cells are working but they are shown in red as if they were offline, they don't download the provisioning even when manually downloading the xml and importing it into the cell via the browser caused an error, so I had to configure the users and passwords manually?

Are the N510 on latest firmware from Gigaset?
Pbx is on Same LAN as the bases?

YES

Software

Firmware version: 42.263 (422630000000 / V42.00)

Same as mine 263 , and i did this week a PBX change from Windows V18 to Debian 10 V18 and then upgraded to V20 Debian 12 without any problem with N510
All went like a breeze

Are they using customised templates?
Have they SPLIT DNS active on the location?

Oh sorry, I just noticed mine is red too 1720886878862.pngbut working fine with all the handset connected

I was hoping to be quiet with N510 until they were on LAN with the PBX , but it seems now i'm not and i have customers always using these brand and model

Have you tried a factory reset on one base and a reinstall from scratch

I had to configure the users and passwords manually?
Where have you found the users informations? The handset users informations are not available

In the configuration you have a link to a provisioning xml so you edit the xml and find all the necessary parameters, if you try to load the xml directly into the cell you get a format error, but if you copy and paste the necessary parameters it works

https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/gigaset-n510/

When you migrate no problem, and when you have to reset the password of a user you have to reconfigure the cell, or add a new user in both cases the authentication id and password are regenerated, so look for the extension in the xml file and look for the parameters keep provisioning the cell on ip and not on fqdn otherwise it won't let you download the file

Well i factory reset the DECT and deleted the DECt on pbx side, then recreated a new dect in 3CX but strangely provisioning link is using wrong port 5000 instead of 5001 so the link goes no where

Weird thing is only the DECT who stay with port 5000, all other phones are on 5001 in provisioning link

5000 HTTP 5001 HTTPS

Use 5000 provisioning HTTP

In my opinion the 510 is one of those products that is starting to become obsolete for 3CX, it supports it but with limitations

Yes but thy are always in use, some of my customers , Dental clinic use these models , they have on premise Windows V18 pbx on which we added split DNS, now Windows licence KEY need to be ENT instead of PRO, and finally if the phones are also ready to be changed , i'm thinking this is me the customer will change ;)

Finally got XML file with 5001 https and filled manually the accounts, all is running fine but DECT base and phones Stay in RED

Split DNS is a mandatory prerequisite for 3CX, on Windows I don't think V20 is even available. Anyway as I have already done successfully. Complete configuration backup. installed debian iso 3cx restore windows backup without any stops or problems

If you create a complete backup of the pbx and restore it on a debian it works perfectly. This doesn't solve your Gigaset N510 problem, but you have a lighter system and save the Microsoft Windows license.

Hi @OlegR_3CX
Is there something that can be done to get DECT base N510 IP and handsets to turn green instead of red even all is perfectly connected and working fine?

This a much older device

Nope there isn't, unfortunately these are much older devices and they do not report some information that we need to show them as green in the Voice & Chat page.

Thanks John, almost that's clear "la messe est dite" in French :) meaning (There is nothing more to do, the situation is final and cannot be changed.)
