3cx Ports at Remote Sites

I am using UDM Pro at my job for each of our locations. Currently, our main building where our 3CX phone system is setup is not using a Unifi system (yet). If I try to access the port (port:5001 lets say) from my remote Unifi location I can't access the main location that uses a Cisco system we are locked out of by a former IT guy. But, if I use my phone as a hotspot then I can connect to the central location just fine. Its like my firewall is blocking the port call out to the internet but I'm very new to networking.

I have checked to make sure I wasn't blocking it in the firewall and nowhere is it blocked (at least that I can see). Not sure if it is the IP that its blocking or the port. I cannot seem to ping the IP of the central location...

Your post is very confusing. You say you don't have access to the Cisco but yet you checked the firewall. You say you can access 3CX when your phone is acting as a hot spot (implying over the internet) but then you say it's like your firewall is blocking the port call out to the internet). Given that you are very new to networking I suggest getting IT/network help first as this is not a 3CX issue. It may be something as simple as taking the time to get a network diagram drawn up so you can better visualize how things are connected and figure it out yourself, or if it's time sensitive you may want to hire someone to get things sorted and give you a working configuration to start with. But even a network engineer isn't going to magically get access to that Cisco so if you can't get the password for it, then plan on replacing it.

These here are the default ports used by the 3CX system https://www.3cx.com/docs/ports/

The most important ones for remote extensions are HTTPS (5001), and Tunnel (5090).
The HTTPS port also gives you access to the management console interface, and the webclient.


Indeed, it will be difficult if you do not have access to all necessary network elements or a network diagram and these devices are controlling the traffic flow sufficiently to lock you out.
