Hey
Great UPDATE, thank you team 3CX :)

Is the below in red a feature or a bug in the Call Log.
13/11/2017 15:30:05 Reception 2 (102) Room 208 (208) REPORTS.filter_callsgrp_notansw
Seems like it is only the Not Answerd Calls that is shown this way.

Problem Solved:-)
A Refresh of the CallLog page did the trick

Hey again..
This QR Code is brilliant:-)
Will we somehow be able to "show" another extensions QR Code.. I´m thinking it would be handy in a Support department, or in my case at a Hotel where a Guest Checks In and can have the SoftPhone App at the Reception including a configuration through the QR Code for the room.

Conference scheduling emails not sending out. Voicemail and welcome emails work just fine. This is happening on two of our server upgrades. Anyone else seeing this issue with update 2?

We don't know yet - its a new phone. in the last test we made it failed. So we did not add it.

For all users reading this post about hotdesking.

Not all Supported Phones are automatically added to hotdesking. Not all models will hotdesk. It's just how the situation is. We will try to put as many phones as we can to support hotdesking, but there are external factors that influence this - example the firmware, the date the phone was released, whether we need the manufacturer or not etc etc..

Hi 3CX guys, is there a list of the supported phone models with hot desking? Thanks

It seems that there is no option to invite participants directly via the web client, only link to your calendar.

It takes two steps to schedule a meeting while only 1 step previously.
Not everyone used to work with a calendar.

Can take the feature back?

Thanks.

Customers complaining sharply to this change -- everyone who is using conference calls, 20 of 20 from my customers.
Please bring feature back ASAP. Using calendar is not convenient in most cases plus customers don't want to share info about conference calls with Google and others.

I would like to add... This only happens with Audio conferences.

Ok, I think I see what I am doing wrong with conferences. I don't have any options to invite users. I assume this is normal now?

My browser was blocking the redirection to Office 365 and also blocked the ical download. This is a little more cumbersome and relies on a working browser without restrictions. I liked the old way where at the very least, the 3CX server would send the SMTP meeting request vs relying on the end user to paste an ical feed into the email client. Assuming their browser works properly. Reminds me of Java where support spends hours trying to get each users browser to work properly.

Anyway, please let me know if I am missing something. Personally, I don't like the Ical feed not being sent by the server automatically. Both options would be ideal.

We provision all the phones for our staff, so being able to do this from the management console would be ideal.

Is there any documentation yet on using the REST API server side piece? We have customers with custom built CRMs needing click to call etc integration. Some can send to windows dialer currently and use the 3CXTapi plug in, but it is not ideal, and does not work for all clients, namely those with CRM accessed via remote desktop where we cannot install the 3CX client on the RDS server. Being able to have the CRM communicate directly with 3CX server would solve both situations. That sounds like your aim with what was posted in https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/pbx-update/ just jumping ahead and trying to get documentation on how to do it. :)

Sorry to re-hash but when is the update likely to be released as a full blown release and not the beta version? I'm hesitant to update to a beta version on the 3CX server that my wife uses....

Remember Happy wife = happy life

I'd recommend changing the wording during install on the Port Selection page from FREE to AVAILABLE or UNUSED. I think it makes more sense especially for those that aren't native english speakers.

Also having this issue where conference scheduling emails aren't being sent. I have had a ticket open with 3cx support for two days. They've told me how to update my 3cx client, how to update my server, but haven't acknowledged that actual real problem. Annoying.

You have to install the latest windows client. When you click on the conferencing buttons, it will pop the users web page into the conference. Apparently they don’t want us to use the windows client anymore for conferencing.

Now with that in mind, the web client will NOT automatically email out the ical file to your attendees. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM. WE HAVE CUSTOMERS WHO WILL GO NUTS IF THIS IS NOT AUTOMATED. ONE CUSTOMER I KNOW, WILL STOP USING 3CX conferencing if it’s not easy and automated.
