Hi,

is there any link for download latest version of 3cx v16 for Linux? We are now on v16 U6a, we cannot procced further to u7, we are using LXC and host is debian 8 while 3cx is using debian 9. Because of that we can not follow the KB guide
So my goal is to put new 3cx with latest update (3cx v16) and restore backup from v16 update 6a if possible?

Thanks

Those are indeed the download links for the latest version of v16 so yes, you can use those.

Now I just need confirmation that backup from v16 u6 can be restored on v16 u8 directly?
Yes it can, remember to use the backup during installation. If you will be deploying a new machine I recommend shutting down the old machine and only deleting it after you've managed to get the new one up and running.

Also, do bear in mind that, I'd recommend you then upgrade to v18 as v16 will not be supported past November 2022: https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/fqdn-endpoint-change/

Restore v16 U6a to new VM with v16 U8 went smooth, also the upgrade to deb 10 with v18 U2 too.

Thanks

Since the blog post announced you can go straight from v15.5 to v18 I imagine @mixig could have gone straight to v18 then?

Strictly speaking the tested upgrade paths are from the the latest Service Pack of each major version, so from V15.5 U6 and from V16 U8, you can take a backup and restore onto a V18 U2 system.

Taking a backup from a version that was not the latest of the major release *might* work, but it shouldn't be attempted unless absolutely necessary.
