Solved 5-Digit length override

Greetings everyone,

We are looking for a replacement for our legacy PBX, it is currently used with 6-digit number plan.

Is there any official and supported way to overcome 5-digit limit in 3CX ?

Not really, the maximum extension number length is 5 digits. I'd see the migration as an opportunity to drop it to a more manageable digit length.

I do not believe this is possible (in a supported way). You can do it with the 3CX Call Control API, but I have never tested it, and I am confident 3CX would frown on this approach.

Do you need 6 digits or do you need to maintain existing extensions? If you just need 123456 to ring user_a, then you can use the SIP ID to map that.

I need to maintain existing extensions.
Fortunately, our format allows to undercut one digit.
