wow, it is really nice for small businesses.

In the blog post, it said "Furthermore, the next version of 3CX will allow resellers to install 3CX in startUP mode (which means you can install hundreds of cloud instances on a single server), making it much more cost-efficient to support smaller customers." Can the partner install 3CX in startup mode in their own cloud server, or it has to be a 3CX hosted cloud sever?

Re 1000 - every server starts with 1000, so there should be quite a few servers starting with 1000 in each of the regions but yes nice number to have :)

@58voip - yes this is the plan, you can host your own 3CX StartUP servers . They will be regular 3CX installations but with additional features. You can setup cloud instances manually or using our new powerful REST API. Now 3CX StartUP is out we will ready Update 4 which will allow you to take a look at this mode. Of course its a little more complex than a standard install but its 1000 times easier than Broadsoft :)

This is amazing news, looks to have solved my shared work space issue, one large server can now host multiple 3CX instances. Look forward to playing with this!

Do we still get phonebooks in this lite version?

Great work 3CX!!!

How does the SC work for the free and Pro?

@kent3 - yes phonesbooks are there! Thanks for the headsup :)
@Alex Sweeney - well the API will be public when we launch Update 4
@kieferschild - in our hosted mode its 10 or 20 users, not based on SC. If you put it on your own server you have to license SC as per usual and you can make your own pricing model....

Sweet - think this is going to help margins. Free edition doesnt support deskphones?

@kieferschild No IP Phones in free. But lets say if you are talking about your own server you can license PRO and decide yourself what features to offer to a customer....

Nick:

The free version I assume comes with a trunk to make calls? If so is it US based or did I miss something?

it says we will be able to install our own StartUP installation.

any details on that ?

Will we be able to install 3CX SartUP on a VM, and through this installation, install multiple instances for different clients?
