It's a bit too broad (and vague) to answer meaningfully - “How far along is AI development” is like asking "How far along is technology?"

AI isn’t one thing, and it’s not a single timeline. There are many branches moving at different speeds (chatbots, Voice assistants, transcription, analysis, training, etc.). Which part of AI are you asking about exactly?
