Hey yall, I am not sure if this feature exists. I though a Ring Group might be the proper solution here, but we are having two people act as receptionist, and they trade off after lunch. What Id like to do is either have it switch between the two at lunch, or switch between two call groups where one is the lead and the other catches any overflow.

Im sure this is a rookie question, but so far I cant find it. Thanks in advance.

So there's a couple ways you can do this, but it depends on how automated you want it to be and how you want to handle any changes such as one person out sick. But the easiest thing to do is to make two ring groups (one with each user) with the other ring group as unanswered destination. If you aren't already using office hours for call routing, you can make the morning person's ring group the destination for the DID during office hours and the other ring group the destination after hours. Then you could use office hours toggles to decide who it should go to.

Ill have to think on that. We do use business hours, but mostly just to send all calls to VM at 5.

@TLCtech

If you need 3 or more routing destinations that are based on time conditions you could utilize a dummy/routing extension.

I think that using a dummy/routing extension in conjunction with what @cobaltit suggested should give you the call flow behavior you are looking for.

I'd recommend giving it a read to determine if you can apply this type of configuration to your use case.
