Good day,

I'm about to start a project that will require me to re-ip (change the public static IP) of about 6 3CX Instances.

The instances vary from V14 Cloud Instances to V15.5 (Linux and Windows).

I will be doing some dry runs throughout the next few weeks to document the whole process however In the meanwhile I wanted to reach out to the people on this community to see if anyone had any tips or experiences they would like to share with me.

What's the safest and best method for changing the public IP on 3CX instances? Will I need to relaunch new instances and restore from a backup or is there a more simple method to achieve what I'm about to set out to accomplish?

Hello @xirgo

The public ip's can be changed from the management console of the PBX without having to re-install the PBX. Navigate to settings / Network
and set the the IP to Dynamic after your IP changes. Restart services and wait for the DNS to propagate if you are using a 3CX FQDN.
Once it changes you can set it back to static again.

Thank you @YiannisH_3CX for the information

Is the same true on 3CX V14 Cloud Multi-tenant edition?

kindly allow me to say: backup, uninstall, deploy v15.5, restore

Surely you dont want to run customers still on v14 nor do they.
Still to answer your question, no V14 can not and just v15.5 SP2 lead this trick for its local interfaces...
