I cannot log into my3cx management console from outside the office (we host our own VoIP in house). I have an address to access the system from outside. yesterday I was able to make calls from my laptop at home. Today I could not open the soft phone. I went to the ********.my3cx.ca:5001 site but was unable to log in with what I thought were my username (extension) and what I thought was my password. I think I tried twice before it said my IP was blacklisted. There was no offer to reset the password and no help unless I wanted to pay $75. I don't think that is reasonable to reset a password! Does anyone have advice for me?

Access from a system in-house?

Hi @nallum

Two things:

1) You are now blacklisted, so you cannot access it from that IP and only the administrator can reset their password (not a user extension with any type of rights)

2) You may have console restrictions active (Settings > Security > Console Restrictions)

So please find a way to log in locally, remove your IP from the blacklist and check to see if you have console restrictions. If you are not the only person with access to the management console, you may wish to ask your colleagues if anyone made changes recently that may have affected your ability to log in.

When you said " I could not open the soft phone " can you be more specific as to what you did and what you saw?

The 3CX phone appears after the computer boots up, will accept a number, input, but will not dial. The 3CX client icon appears on the taskbar and disappears when the phone is closed. The phone doesn’t look like the 3CX extension for google. I cannot activate the extension because I cannot open the web client other than to bring up the inactivated dial pad. There is an icon for “3CX phone for windows” still on the desktop, but nothing happens when I click on it. I t was all working a few days ago. Thank you for the help. I will try to sign in from the office. We host on our own server.

Hi,

What version is your PBX currently and what OS is it hosted on?
What version is you app currently?
When the app launches, do you see "On Hook" being displayed like the example below?

It may be hard to believe, but I do not know how to find out what version my pix is! I assumed it was V16, which I think is the latest. We are hosting on a windows server.
