Dear Team,

I am interested in call recording logic. Example:

extension set to record:

100
200

extension set to "not record"

300

So when 100 calls 200 both calls will be recorded and put each file in their folder for

100 and 200

What will happen when 100 will call 300?
There are 2 variations:
1) Call will be recorded and put in 100 folder only (But this logically must not happen as 300 is set not to record)
2) Call wont be recorded

What will be real action?
Thank you

Hello @ygonzales

Recordings are enabled on each extension. The extension calling will be recorded.

So if 100 calls 200 a folder will be created for extension 100 and in the folder you will see a new recording file.

If then extension 100 calls 300, the call will be recorded and a new recording file will be created.

So even is 300 has call recording disabled and 100 has enabled it will record anyway right?

From one side this brakes logic. Lets say manager phone 300 must not be recorded... How can we proceed ?

Yes, if the recording is enable from the calling extension it will record other extensions even if they do not have this option enable.

seems like we need a new idea that prohibits record. of course, this would not work for an outside caller calling ext 300. there system would make the choice - not 3cx.
