Hi All,

Fairly new to 3CX but it's working superb for us.

My question is - At the moment I only have one admin user, myself. We record calls for training purposes and want to give my sales manager the ability to download these himself so he can listen to recordings.

I've followed tutorials on enabling management interface for the specific user - which works - If I set Reports (and ability to download call recordings) only, the user can login to the management interface, and it allows them to create reports, but they cannot see any call recordings and the tab on the left is not present.

The only way I can get it to show the Call Recording tab on the left is to enable General System Administration - This unfortunately means the user can do pretty much anything - add/remove users, play around with settings.

Is there some way to restrict this user to he cannot get full admin access and only access call recordings?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Recordings are accessible on the web client too without need for MC access.

You should be able to select "See group recordings" under the Extension settings.

Also, what license are you using? Since v16, a Pro or Ent license is needed for call recording.

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried the web client for the user, but I cannot find anywhere in there to listen to call recordings for any users.

I can confirm we have the Pro licence. Call recording is working great, but I am the only one with access to the Call Recordings tab within the management interface.

I've gone through all settings for the Extension I want access to call recordings and I cannot find an option for "See group recordings". I've also looked at the settings for the group setup with the users that have call recording and there is no option for it in there either.

Currently running latest V15 version - I am planning on upgrading to V16 in about a month, but need to find the correct time/downtime for that.

Something definitely isn't right then - I also followed this tutorial and I am missing the "
Can see group recordings (Pro+) - can download and listen to group recordings." option in the list for the group options. This is also not present for the Extension Rights either.

I definitely have the Pro licence installed and working great.

Any ideas? Can someone send me a screenshot perhaps?

Go under Phone Provisioning -> select 3CX Client.

Your reports have a link to each recording at the far right end. The user should be able to click the link and listen to the recording straight from the report

I am really getting confused now - how can I see the call recordings - See screenshot of what is shown when the user logs in via management interface with their user (I've disabled the general administration option) - There is no option for downloading the call recordings.

If I go to Add it pops up a dialogue box - But all it allows is emailing the reports on a schedule - no way to download the call recordings.

Another member suggested "Go under Phone Provisioning -> select 3CX Client." however we don't use the 3CX Client - We have IP Phones.

Is there a way I can get in touch with 3CX for support on this perhaps?

So generally speaking now, if you want to give access to somebody to generate reports and listen to recordings, then you have already done it correctly. The recordings will not appear to them in the management console, but when they download a report, the report will have links to each recording per call record. It's on the last column Called play.

If you give further rights to the user they will be able to access it from the management console but they will also have access to other things that you might not want them to.

The Play links are double: one with the FQDN and one with the local server IP (in case they are using the report from the same LAN as the PBX)
