I am having issues finding the QR code to setup an android device. I have cleared all browser caches (Chrome) and relogged into the webclient. Under settings all I have is General, Presence, Call Forwarding, Greetings, Switchboard and Integration. What am I missing here?

Alternately is there a way to setup my android with the config file that is emailed to me? This does not appear to work anymore...

Hello @Bigbeam

What PBX version are you running? You can see the exact build number on the Dashboard, under the Information column next to the licence version. For example 15.5.15502.6.

You can send a welcome email to your android device and provision your client using the config file included.
Also if you are on the latest 3CX version you can navigate to your extensions settings and click on the client Tab. The QR code is also visible there.

15.5.3849.1

It appears the new android client does not allow config through a config file, only via QR Code, correct?

So you need to upgrade to Update 6. But the new client still works via the config file. It just defaults to the QR code method.

So how do I bypass the qr code? Even when I open the config file with 3cx client it stops me at the qr code entry and there is nothing else you can do.

How do I update to 6? Nothing shows on my update page

This will help you with the upgrade to Update 6:

https://www.3cx.com/blog/news/pbx-upgrade-update-6/

I just installed the 3CX client, send myself a welcome email and opened the attachment. It took a couple tries but eventually provisioned. But once you get on Update 6 you should get your QR code as well

Thanks for that. I am running a google cloud server and got an error on apt-update (I'm not a linux guy):
