Chat Notifications in Windows App

Hi, with the chat function in the app there is no option for an audible alert or popup, where there is in the PWA.

The only notification is the tiny number showing on the chat icon. easily missed when its behind another screen.

Is this going to be added? Now you have added the Sever Side CRM functionality, its the last thing to sort before we can ditch using the PWA alongside.

@ThomB_3CX Unfortunately, the chat notifications do not work for me on the latest 5.1 relase of the client. Anything to configure here? Notifications are allowed for the app, incoming Call notifications are working.

Hi @TSEP are you running Windows 11?
Can you go to Start > Notifications & actions > make sure 3CX is enabled.
Click on 3CX and set High for Priority of notifications in notification center. Does this help?

@ThomB_3CX Unfortunately this does not help, settings are set. I'm on Windows 11, yes.

Another thing I've just noticed:

When a call comes in, a notification appears, but the buttons from the notification (answer, reject) have no effect. The notification is only closed by the click, but the call is not accepted/rejected.

@TSEP is the app being run in elevated mode?
Right click on Task bar
Select Task Manager
Go to Details in the left navigation bar

Look for 3CXSoftphone.exe and check if the Elevated field is set to Yes.
If you cannot see the Elevated field, right click on the Name field > Select columns > Scroll down and enable Elevated > Ok

@TSEP this is the problem. Do not run the softphone in elevated mode (as admin)

Notifications for an elevated (admin) app is currently not supported.

Never ever run an app in elevated mode permanently. This is a huge security risk.

@ConceptsWeb You are completely right. This was a Test VM with disabled UAC.

@ThomB_3CX On a productive System in non elevated mode, the notifications are working now as expected. Thank you for your help.
