Since a few weeks when we forward calls to another internal station, we always have a colon (:) before the station name forwarded to and then the number from the caller.
The string is so long, that in the webclient and ios client that you can't see the caller number.

I did a trace from our 3CX and in the pcap SIP (INVITE) package screenshot (see attachement) I marked the error red.

Version is 15.5.15502.6. We did not change anything specific.
Anyone could give me a hint where to look.

Hello @Thomas Gangolf

You will need to navigate to Contacts / Options and select the option "Do not add" under the "Add Group, Queue or DID/DDI Names to Caller ID " option

Hi Thomas
Can you provide me an iOS client screenshot with such issue? I'm asking because the iOS client's UI should deal properly with long display names (its UI uses "fit" method, while CallKit is using scrolling/marquee one)
Thanks
vali

Hi Vali, I will send you a screenshot tomorrow and then try YiannisH solution. Thanks for the replies.

@Thomas Gangolf

Hi Thomas
Thanks for screenshots. However, I guess here's a misunderstanding:

- this has nothing to do with the display name being too long - you'll get a similar look even if the display name would be a simple ":a".

- in the first screenshot, the screen (CallKit) is controlled by the iOS; if there is a display name provided together with the number, then it will show the name - as in your screenshot; if no display name is provided, then it will show the number; this it's CallKit/iOS behavior and is the same for any app that's using it, being it the native Phone dialer or third-party apps like WhatsApp.

- quite similar with the notification in screenshot 2: if a display name is provided, that one will be shown; if not - the number.

Hope it helps

Yes you are right, after switching to "contacs/options/do not add..." like YiannisH_3CX wrote, everything was back to normal.

Thank you YiannisH and Vali for helping me with this one.
