color not changing when status is away

When changing the status in "away" the icon is still green instead of orange. When selecting DND the icon becomes red which is good. Is there a way to change this so the color becomes orange when the status is away?

What is the colour shown in the 3CX (web) client?

I believe the only colours shown on phones are for available, DND and busy.

Hi,

The BLF buttons on physical phones do not support 3CX Presence, so the light will not change.

DND is a standard device-based feature which exists independent of 3CX. We can have the PBX switch your presence status to DND when the phone button is pressed.

3CX Presence on the other hand is not something phones understand, it's a proprietary presence system that only works on 3CX softclients.

Very disappointing this is not possible. Without a computer or app you cannot see the status.
Can we make a feature request?

No, because 3CX Presence is unrelated to the SIP protocol that deskphones use so they do not understand it.

We provide Presence as an additional rich feature that is software based.

You can of course dial codes or use quick dial buttons to change the statuses, but the phone device itself cannot understand them.

BLF means Busy Lamp Field. This basically allows you to monitor the call state of an extension. A BLF on an IP Phone will NOT monitor the profile status of an extension, just the call state. If you configure a BLF on the 3CX App for Windows however, it will monitor both the call state AND the profile status of an extension.

The different call states which can be monitored are:

• Idle. The monitored extension is idle and not in a call
• Ringing. The monitored extension is in the ringing state.
• In Call. The monitored extension is in an active call at the moment.

Could it be possible eventually to add some sort of layer that would make XMPP presence work with 3CX? We just need the BLF to turn red for DND lol
