Coming Soon: 3CX WebMeeting on Your Local Network or Cloud

Sad to hear this was pushed back to Q4. I know we are going to be implementing a new 3CX system starting in September/October timeframe. This is already quoted, just having to get resource time in place to make it happen. One of the key selling points was on prem secure video features as we require that for our environment.

If you need someplace to test a stand up of this in that timeframe let me know - we have a bunch of phone system engineers ready to jump in :)

Hello Leonidas.
we are very very interested in carrying out on-premises implementation of webmeeting services. How can we do it?
we have the resources for it and we need it asap.

You have not seen the post , it has been pushed back to Q4 2020

Pushed back to Q4 2020.

Why would you quote or sell a feature that has not been released, let alone tested and confirmed working to your specification....

Because it was originally anticipated at the end of Q2, and if you note our install is starting in Q3...

Please,

Is there any update about the release date? Or an available beta version to try?

Thanks a lot!!!!

No, this is still quite far off...

we have customers in Alaska that get issues hitting large combination meetings ( 35% dial on the 3cx app or a cell phone or computer - 50% use the computer browser with attached microphone/wecams and 15% using computer and ip based phone) about 25 users in the conference. the people on the call in app can all hear the people that call in great. the people that use computers and microphones all hear and sound good to each other. but the other type of user sounds bad to the other group of users. (does this make sense to everyone?)

we feel that a local MCU server would solve our issues... we think the time delay of the two groups is a dynamic...

do we a have a date or estimate on this? so I can move to some other solution or hang on to this option.

we also think that it would be help to ask the user (like zoom and others do) are you going to use the computer audio or call in? then posts a number. this may help prevent the people trying to see the screen share of calling in twice to the webmeeting outta of ignorance. (this may also be causing undo feedback)

Sorry if I gave the impression that I can't read the posts from above. I am quite able... I was looking for a date like DEC-2nd 2020. or maybe Nov 15th 2020 - you know specific dates... or MAYBE even something like not this alpha release but the next one. now that it is Q4 and all...

a roadmap - that says turn at the fork... but look to left for the spoon. that kinda thing. - I am trying to be funny and probably failed at that too. *grin*

Don't do that to yourself. Settings dates in software development is just asking for trouble. Just pretend they never mentioned it and be surprised when it shows up!

The local MCU is still on the roadmap just other things are taking precedence. Preparations are being done however, so v 18 will have all meeting organization including the portal "on board" From there onwards locally deployed MCU is easier. That said we have updated our conferencing to have a max of 16 video streams (rest joins via audio and can appear when they are speaking) which i think makes it much more reliable and probably you do not need the local MCU anymore. If you need to have say 30-50 video streams (i.e. see the faces of 50 ppl, why? ) then you would need something like Zoom.

V18? So far away?

local MCU is not round the corner no, certainly not Q4, v18 is not that far away

@Nick Galea, thanks for the heads up. However, the on-premise MCU option is quite important for us to expand the 3CX business in China. Hosted MCU in Taiwan is not realiable due to the China government GFW. In addition, some industries like Finance or some large enterprise requested it for data security reasons. Please kindly consider making it as soon as possible. Thank you.

@cobaltit, I get it, I hate setting dates too. but also realize for the best results we have to commit. A razor's edge.

I am not a fanboy of Microsoft - quite the other side. example below is "better" practice and I know you know this. it is just the reality is when we have this large of a community and this large of customer base dates that we can communicate is good for everyone.

maybe there is a cleaner way to publish a roadmap than blog posts. I don't know, just speculation on my part.

Would love to see RESTful API for webmeeting. The functions that I would like to see are Schedule, get (create, edit, delete) conference, get (create, edit, delete) conference template, get (downloads) conferences records.

Hello,

are there any Updates ?
