Configuring Chat for e911 Notifications

I am working on setting up e911 and am not clear on how to sent chat notifications for 911 calls to specific users. We already have several groups with different managers for these groups. I created a new 'e911 Chat Notification' group and added all the users and made the ones I want to receive chat notifications as managers. in the Emergency Numbers Notifications I check 'Send chat notifications to:' and then there is a drop down list with 3 options:
Extension's group managers
Extension's group users and managers
All group managers
How do I specify the new 'e911 Chat Notification' group I created for this? If I select 'Extension's group managers' won't this include the managers for all the groups and then include users I do not want to be notified?

Hi,

You don't specify a group chat. What happens is that the system sends a message to the managers
From: 3CX
Message: "{Rulename} was dialled from {Extension Name}"

The From and Message can be edited using the template button.

Hi John, I understand this. But we have several existing groups with several managers for these groups. I only want the chat notifications to go to 2 specific managers, not all the managers for each group. How do I limit to only the 2 managers I want to receive these? Thank you, Ed.

I encourage you to take a look at our 3CX Emergency Notifier tool. You can specify precisely who you want notified based on the extension that dialed the emergency number.

Notifications can be by phone (using text to speech), SMS, Email, and Desktop alerts. This is particularly helpful, for example, if you have a school district that has multiple schools sharing the same phone system. There is no point in notifying people at the High School when someone at the grade school dials an emergency number. Further, you can be very precise about where the person is that dialed the emergency number including building, floor, pillar, cubicle.
