CUCM <-> 3CX - Caller name inbound not showing

Hello All,

First time posting here.

We have CUCM v14 and 3CX v20 connected via a SIP Trunk.

Issue : Caller name does not show up on 3CX phone when call is initiated from CUCM. 3CX ext and name on the other hand does appear on the Cisco phone properly.

I checked the packet capture for the problematic scenario and confirm that the Caller name is in the following fields :
From: "NAME OF USER" under Message Header.
P-Asserted-Identity : "NAME OF USER"
Remote-Party-ID: "NAME OF USER"

Why is 3CX not using those info to make the caller name appearing on the 3CX softphones?

We are using a generic trunk.

Normally, you can select which field is to be used in the Trunk Parameters. Using Generic means there is no "default" that will work for all. A number of options seemed have changed in V20 so you'd have to see if that is still available to you, on generic trunks, in your version.
