Solved Debian on HyperV issue

Hi

I have an odd issue installing 3cx using the Debian ISO on HyperV 2016

I run through the install fine but when I rselect “3CX Stable” - PBX stable edition. it reboots into the Debian login screen and does not show the Welcome to 3cx config tool message

I cannot connect to the web broswe and when I check for 3cx services none are running

Did you follow 3CX HyperV installation notes - https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-microsoft-hyper-v/

Noting - Generation 1 VMs only are supported by 3CX. Refrain from using Generation 2 VMs.

Does the hyper-v have internet access, as if his required to download 3CX from the web

Hi, yes I did and have set a static mac and installed ntp
I can ping 8.8.8.8 from it

My firewall appears to be blocking this, Is this the issue?

Yes, 3CX needs to go off to the internet.

So I added the full URL to the exception list on my sophos XG and it worked.

I had 3cx.com and activation.3cx.com but the full URL below also needed adding

http://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/3cxpbx/public.key
