Can I get the default Provisioning Templates anywhere from 3cx? The reason for this is 3cx is supporting the Snom D785 now, but I cannot provision the phone. I already updated the phone to the latest firmware, 3cx is running Version 15.5.0.

It is my guess that I cannot provision due to the messing configuration snom.ph.xml. However, this default provision file does not seem to get updated during 3cx update.

Thanks, that works! Using a custom template I was able to assign an extension and provision the D785.

Actually, the 3cx Version was already 15.5.10244.4, however, I wasn't aware that I need to look at "License" on the dashboard to identify the version currently installed.

Sill, to complete this thread: Do you know any way to get the most recent Default Provision Templates?

I was under impression, since you can't modify them, that they get installed during Service Packs.
Which one in particular would you like?

The latest templates are always included in the Update section and should be available for download. If there is no update available then you either cannot reach the update server or the latest templates are already downloaded.
Try navigating to Settings / Templates and open the snom.ph.xml template. Let me know of the version number.

Interesting! There is no Update available, my "system is up to date". I don't know if I already got the latest snom template, however, at least I know that the D785 is not listed in there.

Let me know of the version number.

75244 is the latest,

As @craigreilly mentioned you are running the latest version of the template. You should see all phone models listed directly under the part you posted.

This is very strange. The version matches but it is someone edited the template and removed the D785 entries.
What you can do is navigate to C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Http\Templates\phones
locate the snom.ph.xml and copy it on the desktop. Once it is copied delete it from the folder.
Then navigate to the Updates section located on the Dashboard and check for updates. The template should be available for download. Download it and let us know if D785 is included in the template.

The template should be available for download.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm using Debian, so I moved the file
/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Templates/phones/snom.ph.xml to my home folder. However, even after restarting the machine, there is still no update available within the 3cx dashboard.

Try hitting the Blue update button on the dashboard and see if that makes a difference. Do you normally see updates on the PBX?

Do you have any Snom phones that were using the template provisioned on to the system? If not then the update will not be available.
Try copying the template back in the folder and add a "fake" Snom phone to an extension and click OK to save.
Then delete the template and try Updating again

I had my custom Template for snom installed, which I created after post #2. I just deleted it as well, removed the phone from my extension and initialized the snom phone. It is now showing as new phone, but still, there is no update available, even after a reboot.

For the PBX to look for a template update a phone from the template must be present on the PBX. What i suggested in my previous reply was:

Restore the default template back to the folder.
Edit an extension (any extension) and navigate to Phone Provisioning.
Add a Snom phone from the default template with a fake MAC address (12 random numbers)
Click OK to save the phone.
Delete the default template from the folder.
Try to search for updates again.

Let us know if that works .

Thanks for your support! Finally I could update the template successfully using the steps provided, except "Delete the default template from the folder." which was not necessary to receive it.

The template is now provisioning the snomD785!
