Hello and thank you for your time reading this.

I am having a slight issue with simultaneous ringing that is causing issues for people away from their desk. We have a user that is mostly out of the office and his extension rings simultaneously, the problem is, there is a delay in how long it rings before he actually gets the ringing on his mobile. It will ring in office 2 or 3 times before he sees the initial call. His phone rings once or twice and he can barely get a chance to look at it before it cuts off. Now, we can delay how long it rings for, but then it will ring too long in the office ring group before connecting to a voicemail. I am just trying to get the ringing to actually be simultaneous and not delayed. Thanks ahead of time!

If you call his cell directly from an office phone how long does it take before it starts ringing? 3CX can't fix that. Your only option is to use the app on his mobile.

Same thing. If I call his extension from my extension, it rings twice before ringing on his phone. I tried it out with my mobile on my extension and called from another extension and same thing, it rang twice before ringing on my phone.

I wish there was a way 3CX could fix it, I guess because of all the hops it has to make to get from the SIP to the cell provider is where the real issue lies. Thanks for your thoughts!

Hi sclark10

You can see from your Switchboard how long the PBX takes to establish a call to the mobile for simultaneous ringing.

The rest is unrelated to the PBX once the call is sent to your provider via the trunk, that unfortunately we cannot control

Thank you John for your response. I will have to test it to try it out. The Switchboard is not through the management console and is through the WebClient, right? This is v15.5

You can extend the time-out from a ring group to voicemail, but there is a limit, as I recall. Delays in calling mobiles (providing you are using VoIP trunking and not a PSTN gateway), is usually the "fault" of the mobile company.. Some are better than others, in tracking and establishing the call to the mobile itself. The larger mobile providers, that actually own the network, as opposed to leasing space on a network, will have priority. Connect time can also vary depending on coverage, and congestion, in the destination mobiles immediate area.

Yes its in the webclient, and also active calls button on the dashboard
