Deleted Extension did not release DID

Hi I have an odd issue,
Today we deleted the Operator extension after moving it to a new Extension.
There was a DID tied to that extension and after the extension was deleted the DID was not released back into the list of available DID numbers.

Has anyone run into this and if so know a fix?

So far I have tried the following:
- Rebooted host system
- Re-created extension (000)
- Attempted to delete and re-add to Trunk DID list (would remove but after going back, would reappear)

It clearly is stuck somewhere in the system but I am unclear where to look.

Is the issue that your expectations don't align with reality? DIDs are not tied to extensions. DIDs are routed to extensions. You deleted the extension but the route is still there. Just edit the route to point it where you want it to go. If you just want it to show up as 'Available' then delete the inbound route.

Please note that when assigning a DID to an extension an Inbound rule is created so you will need to navigate to the Inbound Rules tab and locate the inbound rule for the specific inbound rule and delete it. That should make the DID available again.
